Alert rules

Choose what texts you, what calls you and what emails you the same day. Everything also goes in Monday's note and stays in Standing Brief, dated. Changes back to normal never alert.

Takeover or channel gone

Several changes at once that look like a takeover (name, picture, links, videos made private), or your channel stops being publicly visible.

Takeovers often happen at night, and a text alone may not wake you. Only this row can call. You haven't added a backup person yet: add one.

A video restricted

A video is age-restricted, or blocked in some countries.

A video earning less than normal

Revenue per 1,000 views drops well below its usual level for 3 days. Needs revenue analysis turned on.

Other changes

One change on its own: channel name, handle, picture or links; a video made private or unlisted, removed, marked made for kids, or no longer embeddable; a link in your descriptions dead, parked, expiring or with a new owner.

Texts and calls never contain a link, and we never ask you to sign in from one. Reply OK to a text to stop the calls.
